Years in the Industry

The Full Package. Not Just a Loan Officer.

I did not start behind a desk handing out rate sheets. I started at the bottom, post-closing, chasing final docs. Then I became a loan opener, then a processor, then a Jr. Underwriter, one of the people actually stamping loans approved or denied.

That journey gave me something most Mortgage Loan Originators simply do not have: a complete understanding of the entire mortgage process from every angle. I have seen the mistakes that cost borrowers thousands. I have also qualified people who were told they would never get a loan. And I love doing it.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish. We are a family operation that takes pride in every single transaction.

🎓 Former Underwriter
I know guidelines at the DNA level. I used to approve and deny loans.
🌎 Bilingual
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Spanglish. Proficient in all 3.
❤️ I Love Mortgages
Not just a job. Making homeownership dreams come true is a passion.

Myths vs. Reality

Do not let misinformation cost you money. Here is what working with a mortgage broker actually means.

Myth
"Mortgage brokers are more expensive than banks."

Reality
We have access to wholesale rates from dozens of lenders, often lower than anything a bank can offer. And unlike lenders, we must display all fees on the Loan Estimate.
Myth
"Brokers only work with bad credit clients."

Reality
We work with clients across the entire credit spectrum, from excellent credit to challenging situations. We find the right solution for your specific circumstances.
Myth
"Using a broker slows down the loan process."

Reality
A skilled broker moves faster by managing paperwork and coordinating with lenders proactively. J Rod moves faster than any bank loan officer, period.
Myth
"Brokers have limited lender options."

Reality
While banks are limited to their own products, we partner with as many wholesale lenders as we choose, giving you access to a massive selection of programs and rates.
Myth
"You need 20% down to buy a home."

Reality
FHA loans require as little as 3.5% down. Conventional loans can be as low as 3%. VA loans are $0 down. Do not let this myth keep you from homeownership.
Myth
"The lowest interest rate is always the best deal."

Reality
Rate is just one piece of the puzzle. Terms, fees, loan type, and your long-term plans matter just as much, if not more. A great rate with bad terms can cost you thousands.
